I appreciate you taking the time to visit us and hope that you find the information provided interesting and helpful. Our website was designed to provide you with information about our agency, its staff, our history, and the services that we provide to our community.
Clear Spring has a proud history of providing fire and emergency services to the residents in the area dating back to 1981 following the transition from an all-volunteer organization known as the East Simpsonville Volunteer Fire Department to the combination department that we are today.
It continues to be an honor to serve as your Fire Chief and to lead such an outstanding organization. I began my emergency service career in Syracuse, New York in 1983. Over the years, I have served as a firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, and Chief of Department. I also worked for the Onondaga County Department of Emergency Management for 14 years prior to relocating to South Carolina.
Our community is one of the fastest-growing areas in South Carolina and consists of many residential neighborhoods, very busy commercial corridors, schools, and places of worship. Clear Spring Fire Rescue is committed to ensuring that we train to meet the challenges associated with such a diverse community.
As your Chief of Fire, I consider it my personal responsibility to strive to make our community as safe as possible through our organization’s commitment to providing fire and emergency services, fire prevention, community education, community risk reduction, life safety, and emergency planning.
